In the surroundings
The picture-postcard village of Lovere stands on the
northern shores of Lake Iseo. On a stroll through the narrow
streets you can explore inviting craft shops and visit the
medieval churches and towers. From Lovere you can reach by
ferry the picturesque fishermen’s villages of Montisola, the
largest lake island in Europe, which offers interesting
walks inside and around the island and friendly, smiling
people.
Another of your possible excursions takes you to other
medieval villages in Camonica Valley, such as Bienno and
Capo di Ponte, where you can visit the rock drawings site
inscribed on
UNESCO World Heritage List.
